I’m Listening

I want to express my sincere gratitude to the South Vista Communities Organization for inviting me and all the other candidates to be at their booth at the Vista Farmers Market today. As I was the only candidate to attend it gave me the opportunity to speak first hand to each and every one of you. Believe me when I say I hear the frustration in your voices with our current elected officials. A lot of what I heard today are the same concerns that you voiced in the 2016 election and it seems like very little has changed! We do not need politicians who are all talk and NO action,we need a person like myself who will take action and get things done! After all, when you elect me to represent you this November, that is exactly what I will do, represent YOU! This is your city and I will be working for you! Please vote James Stuckrad for Vista City Council, District 4 on November 6th and TOGETHER we will get things accomplished!

Thank You

Thank you to all of you who came by and said Hi this morning at South Buena Vista Park. It was very nice meeting all of the great people and puppies of Vista. You were so welcoming and provided valuable feedback as to how you want your city to look and operate. I truly appreciate the feedback and i look forward to working for you once elected to the council.

Public Safety

At a recent city council meeting (June 12th) our representatives stated that crime is at near record lows in Vista, well, tell that to all the people who are having to deal with all the vehicle break ins and vandalism in the Shadowridge area… so they decided to hire two new code enforcement officers with the $300,000 + surplus projected for 2018/19’s operating budget instead of hiring a new Sheriff’s Deputy. Our current District 4 representative says he has been trying to get new deputies since he was elected nearly four years ago. Well, apparently Mr. Franklin has not tried hard enough as no new deputies were hired since he took office. Some officials like to talk, but actions speak louder than words! I am committed to hiring as many deputies as we need to make sure we, the people and our property are safe! With innovative outside the box thinking we can change our fiscal behavior and get what we really need!

When I am elected, the status quo will be no more! We will fund the departments that need to be funded based on what is needed and not put our money into other unnecessary projects before public safety! I was told a few years ago to always listen to your experts, I will do that and together we all will make Vista a better and safer community to live, work and play!

Why Vote for James Stuckrad

I am asking for your vote this fall so i can represent you! My mission is get the peoples business done! Our current representative likes to talk, talk, talk! I prefer action! You should base your vote this November on what your current representative has done or not done for you the past four years while in office. If you are satisfied with his voting record (available for review on the City of Vista’s website in the minutes of previous meetings) then by all means vote for him. If you do not like what has been going on in your city then I represent the change you have been asking for. I know you do not know me, but sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and put your trust in someone new. You know what you currently have and if you are not happy with your current leadership then please vote for me and give me a chance to prove myself to you, I will not let you down! I promise!

“We need somebody on the council who is honest and smart…that being you!

“James, thank you so much for the help that you’ve give in helping direct us in how/where to speak up. Even though I am not allowed to vote for your seat on the council, I think that you are someone who would do the city a world of good to have you in office. Thank you for positive contributions and your exemplary sense of community.”

“I have known James for a few years now. He is always very knowledgeable about the community  and the frustrations of the residents here in Vista. If I have a question about an issue he is always willing to learn about the issue and come up with good solutions to take care of that issue. He seems to know the pulse of the residents in Vista. The council members currently serving seem to only brush off those concerns. I feel he will be an asset and will help strengthen our community instead of tear it down. Currently our great city is going thru massive growth and the council members serving are not recognizing that with that growth the infrastructure needs to also grow. James sees this as an important issue and is actively looking for solutions to make sure we, the residents of Vista, are safe in our communities. James isn’t just someone that Vista should want. James is someone Vista desperately needs. He has my vote.

The Journey Begins

Thanks for joining me! I am not running to be a career politician but to represent YOU, the residents of Vista! Together we can and will accomplish our goals to make Vista an even better place for you to be proud to call home! I have what I call a NO doors policy, that means no barriers between the people and myself. After all, when you vote and elect me to represent you, I will be working for YOU! I am not accepting any campaign donations, so I will never ever vote for something because someone donated to my campaign. My votes on the dais will be for what the people of Vista have told me they want for their city!
