I am the only candidate running for the Vista City Council District 4 seat that is not being endorsed by a political party. One of my opponents is endorsed by the Republican Party and the other is endorsed by the Democratic Party. I am the only candidate who is truly non-partisan. This allows me to view all issues that come before me from an objective and unbiased viewpoint. I will look at all sides of the issue, talk to the citizens of Vista to get their viewpoint and then vote according to what the majority of the people of Vista want. I will never cast a single vote because that’s how a political party wants me to vote. I will conduct frequent TownHall meetings to hear directly from YOU! Partisan politics has no place in city government!

Running For Everyone!
I am working hard to get elected to represent ALL the great people of Vista! By working together our voices will be loud, clear and strong! We will be heard!
Vote James Stuckrad for Vista City Council, District 4
I’m Listening
I want to express my sincere gratitude to the South Vista Communities Organization for inviting me and all the other candidates to be at their booth at the Vista Farmers Market today. As I was the only candidate to attend it gave me the opportunity to speak first hand to each and every one of you. Believe me when I say I hear the frustration in your voices with our current elected officials. A lot of what I heard today are the same concerns that you voiced in the 2016 election and it seems like very little has changed! We do not need politicians who are all talk and NO action,we need a person like myself who will take action and get things done! After all, when you elect me to represent you this November, that is exactly what I will do, represent YOU! This is your city and I will be working for you! Please vote James Stuckrad for Vista City Council, District 4 on November 6th and TOGETHER we will get things accomplished!
Thank You
Thank you to all of you who came by and said Hi this morning at South Buena Vista Park. It was very nice meeting all of the great people and puppies of Vista. You were so welcoming and provided valuable feedback as to how you want your city to look and operate. I truly appreciate the feedback and i look forward to working for you once elected to the council.
Public Safety
At a recent city council meeting (June 12th) our representatives stated that crime is at near record lows in Vista, well, tell that to all the people who are having to deal with all the vehicle break ins and vandalism in the Shadowridge area… so they decided to hire two new code enforcement officers with the $300,000 + surplus projected for 2018/19’s operating budget instead of hiring a new Sheriff’s Deputy. Our current District 4 representative says he has been trying to get new deputies since he was elected nearly four years ago. Well, apparently Mr. Franklin has not tried hard enough as no new deputies were hired since he took office. Some officials like to talk, but actions speak louder than words! I am committed to hiring as many deputies as we need to make sure we, the people and our property are safe! With innovative outside the box thinking we can change our fiscal behavior and get what we really need!
When I am elected, the status quo will be no more! We will fund the departments that need to be funded based on what is needed and not put our money into other unnecessary projects before public safety! I was told a few years ago to always listen to your experts, I will do that and together we all will make Vista a better and safer community to live, work and play!
